As a Savannah photographer, my work is all about connecting. I take a human-centered approach to connect with you, but it’s more than that. Photography is a powerful tool to help you feel witnessed in your unique identity and loving relationships, whatever those look like. My wife and I were skeptical of both the wedding industrial complex and some of the traditions and routines that felt inauthentic at best and totally unnatural at worst. It was immediately apparent that Mackensey fully understood where we were coming from and helped us manifest a wedding that was a true reflection of who we were... Mackensey’s images capture both the memory and feeling of a moment. They transport you to that hazy warm embrace suspended in time. It’s as if she really sees you and you connect behind the camera. Our photos document our wedding but also romanticize it as she captured moments we were authentically experiencing during a roller coaster of emotions. We can’t imagine our wedding without Mackensey and can’t recommend her enough.

I feel so blessed and privileged to have had the soulful healing of Mackensey's Embodiment Session. Almost my whole life I have been at war with my body. From mass media, miseducation, sexual trauma, self-shaming and body image issues I have experienced the spectrum of neglect on my temple. Mackensey facilitates a space of comfort, vulnerability, intimacy and non judgement. I have never felt safer than being fully exposed and seen through her lens. I wept oceans of tears from a deep well of gratitude when I saw my essence through her photographs. In her photographs, I saw myself for the first time- my timeless beauty, my highest self, and my inner child. This Embodiment Session is the greatest gift I have ever given to myself and this feeling of coming home to myself will forever be in my heart thanks to Mackensey.
